Lister & Sherrington House: Children in Need Fundraising Fun
Embracing the Spirit of Charity and Fun
Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of giving by joining the nation in support of BBC Children in Need. It was a truly memorable day where residents, staff, and visitors came together for a cause close to everyone’s hearts, blending heartfelt fundraising with joyous celebration.
A Day of Yellow, Games, and Goodies
The homes were transformed into a vibrant hub of charity, proudly adorned with colourful flags and banners featuring the iconic Pudsey Bear. The atmosphere was cheerful and uplifting, with staff and clients showing their commitment by wearing bright yellow Children in Need t-shirts.
The day’s activities were designed to ensure maximum fun and participation for everyone. Residents and staff enjoyed a range of engaging entertainment, including:
-
Lively Quizzes and Games: Testing everyone’s knowledge and competitive spirit.
-
Music and Dancing: An opportunity for everyone to move, socialize, and enjoy their favourite tunes.
To keep energy levels high, delicious treats were provided for all attendees, including freshly baked cupcakes and a selection of comforting hot drinks.
Making a Difference Together
Central to the day was the commitment to supporting disadvantaged children across the UK. A brightly decorated fundraising bucket was placed prominently, encouraging voluntary contributions from everyone who attended.
We are proud to confirm that all the money raised during the event will be donated directly to BBC Children in Need. This contribution will help fund vital projects that provide safety, security, and opportunity to young people in need.
It was an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable day for everyone involved, highlighting the compassionate and spirited community at Lister & Sherrington House. We look forward to supporting this wonderful charity again next year!
