Aegis Residential Care is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Lister House and Sherrington House Nursing Homes in Bradford.
This is an excellent opportunity to support our kitchen staff and ensure our residents enjoy high-quality dining in a safe, clean environment.
The Role at a Glance
- Position: Kitchen Porter
- Location: Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes, Bradford, West Yorkshire
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Pay: £12.21 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing
As a vital part of our kitchen team, you will:
– Assist the Chef with basic food preparation, such as peeling, plating, and making drinks.
– Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene (sanitising surfaces, washing cookware, and general tidiness).
– Manage deliveries and help with the efficient organisation of food storage.
– Collect in service items and ensure all crockery and utensils are washed correctly.
– Help with waste management procedures.
– Take direction from the Kitchen Chef to ensure a smooth, efficient service.
