Raising Funds for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund

Celebrations Aegis Residential, Lister House, Sherrington House, Yorkshire Day

The team and residents at Lister & Sherrington House Nursing Homes recently came together to raise funds for the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund!

To help raise money, everyone had the chance to enter our ‘Name the Teddy’ competition. The winning name was Rocky, and we are thrilled to announce that Mat was our lucky winner! Pictured above are Mat’s wife, Gillian, alongside our Activity Coordinator, Julie, accepting the prize.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised £50 to support Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund in their mission to raise awareness and support children fighting cancer and their families.

Our residents and staff have been making the most of the gorgeous warm weather by heading out into the garden to soak up some sunshine!

It turned into a wonderfully fun time filled with friendly rivalry over classic games of draughts and snap, alongside relaxing jigsaw puzzles and colouring.

Events like this are a fantastic reminder of how much social interaction, light-hearted competition, and fresh air boost overall well-being. Everyone had a brilliant time!

Commemorating History Together at Sherrington House

Activities Musical Treat, Northeast Producers, Sherrington House

We believe in celebrating history and creating new memories. Our VE Day party was a resounding success as residents and staff donned their best Union Jack bowler hats and waved their flags high.

It was a beautiful tribute to a historic day and a wonderful way to enjoy each other’s company. We love keeping the energy high and the smiles wide!
